Negative Emotions 

Negative emotions can be described as any feeling which causes you to be miserable and sad. These emotions make you dislike yourself and others, and take away your confidence, joy even your physical health. 


Emotions which can become negative are anger, fear, sadness, hurt and guilt. Yet, in the right context, these feelings are completely natural. Negative emotions can dampen our enthusiasm for life, depending on how long we let them affect us and the way we choose to express them. 


Negative emotions stop us from thinking and behaving rationally and seeing situations in their true perspective. When this occurs, we tend to see only we want to see and remember only what we want to remember. 


Negative emotions block the flow of energy in the body. Trapped negative emotions in the body have the real possibility of creating functional blockages in the physiology which means that trapped emotions in the body, which we haven't let go of, can be not only the source of discomfort, but also the source of other physical problems like heart attack. 


Additionally, negative emotions block the flow of success and keep us from achieving our goals. How many times have anger, fear or other negative emotions caught in your way when you wanted to communicate something to a friend, co-worker or even worse, a close family member? they also feel terrible. Do you know anyone who feels good about his/her negative emotions? No, of course not! 


People do anything to escape from the negative feelings such as immerse themselves in work, exercise, go to a movie, talk to a friend, sleep etc. Probably that’s why people smoke, drink, overeat, abuse others, take drugs, are co-dependent, and so much more in order to get away from the terrible feelings of negative emotions.
